A Better Chance?empowers academically talented youth of color to change their life trajectory by attending the nation’s highest performing college preparatory schools. Through their College Preparatory Schools Program (CPSP), they identify bright and motivated students, prepare them for admission into one of their 300+ Member Schools, place Scholars in these schools, and support them through graduation. News Corp’s partnership will help build a critical pipeline of diverse leaders by providing Scholars with access to high quality educational opportunities so they can achieve their full potential.

The Posse Foundation?identifies and recruits urban public high school students and post 9/11 veterans with exceptional leadership talents for enrollment at top-ranked colleges and universities with full-tuition scholarships and in peer support teams of 10. News Corp is supporting Posse’s STEM and Veterans Programs which addresses the underrepresentation of African Americans, Hispanic/Latinos and women of all backgrounds graduating with degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and ensures that more post-9/11 U.S. military veterans attend and graduate from top-tier colleges and universities.

Urban Alliance?is a national youth development nonprofit that provides workforce readiness training and paid internships to economically disadvantaged high school students. The organization uses professional or “soft” skills training, access and exposure to direct work experience, and meaningful adult relationships to help young people connect to pathways leading to self-sufficiency. Funding from News Corp will support Urban Alliance’s partnership with Martha’s Table in southeast Washington, D.C.

News Corp Philanthropy Leaders Forum

Beyond financial support, we are also committed to creating a community of learning and sharing for philanthropic leaders. Each year we host the leaders of the over 40 organizations that we support in the US at our Philanthropy Leaders Forum. These leaders spend the day sharing best practices and hearing from industry experts on the topics that they have surfaced as their most important challenges and opportunities. We are especially proud of the number of innovative partnerships that have developed between organizations as a result of their time spent together at the Leaders Forum.
